I didn't originally plan this when scheduling out episodes, but both of our guests share impactful stories about loss due to mental illness, and it ended up becoming a very powerful episode.
Cat Ridgeway - Musician
Orlando, Florida musician Cat Ridgeway stops into Walsh Wednesday to talk about her latest album Sprinter. Cat and I dive into the progression of her career, her 5-day showcase at the 30A Music Festival, and upcoming releases and tours. We also go behind the music - for example - Cat describes the story behind the title track, Sprinter, and the feelings of losing a friend after losing their battle with mental illness.
Donna Thomas - James's Warr;ors
After multiple interviews together back at the radio station, Donna Thomas makes her Walsh Wednesday debut. Despite being created from dark origins - the loss of James Thomas to suicide - James's Warr;ors is celebrating 5 years educating and helping the community about mental illness. We talk about upcoming events such as The Lifted Project, A Day at the Saratoga Racetrack, and The No One Rocks Alone Festival. And of course, we can't forget about James's Warr;ors new podcast, No One Walks Alone!
